I jus purchased a JVC GZ-MG360 camcorder?? Have any tips or reviews for me?

I jus brought the 6ogb jvc hdd camcorder. I am going from a canon z100 minidv to the hdd so if you can tell me some things about the hdd models or the model i have on general i would be very thankful. You can also email me ay JUSBLAZEYAHEARD@AOL.com with info on this product

JVC Everio & Panasonic D-Snap create 2 files for each video clip: MOD file (consists of Video-MPEG2-PS & Audio-Dolby Digital AC-3) & MOI file (info like date/time & video clip aspect ratio 4:3 or 16:9).

The .MOD file extension can be renamed to .MPG to view the footage; however, audio-AC3 will not accompany the file. When split, clips can’t be imported into video editing application w/o first using another app–> to create a unified MPEG-2 file.

Check clarification on JVC .mod, together w/Carol’s helpful learnings on MOD conversion using Prism. http://www.dotwhat.net/lang_eng/files_m/extension_mod/id_2483/

These video editing apps accept direct import of .MOD files w/o conversion: JVC supplied Cyberlink:Power Director Xpress, Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0, Avid Liquid 7.2, Sony Vegas 7.0e.
