Just bought this camera. No complaints about the image quality — the color and sharpness is superior to the lesser models. What does suck about this camera is that it uses DVDs. You can make big-screen quality movies with it if you attach the Encinema 35, and you’ll need a stabilizing harness. Once you have those items you can make competitive films with this camera.
