    @wateenku1zoo1 “G …
    @wateenku1zoo1 “G lenses” are lenses made by Sony. Lenses are definitely the most important part, but most lenses are basically the same at that level. These cameras also allow you to buy add on lenses, such as telephoto and wide angle lenses. That is probably the main reason why Sony decided to use their own lenses; so that feature would be easily possible.

    I only spent $780 for it. I’m not sure how you got charged so much for it. It retails for $1000 if purchased directly from Sony.

    Thank you …
    Thank you FilmmakersGuide!

    But I already purchased it. It works just like I expected also if you own a PS3 it will automatically play the stored content.The really bad thing is I paid €1089,- or $1.450,02 for it. :( O, well.
    I was always told (in art and graphic school) that the lens is the most important part of the camera. So, if you have the option to get a better lens. Go for that! What is a “G lens”?

    @wateenku1zoo1 I …
    @wateenku1zoo1 I don’t have a mac, but I have heard that there may be issues.

    Carl Zeiss is mainly brand name, not always better. Also, I was able to get this $1000 camcorder for $780.

    Is this camcorder …
    Is this camcorder easy to use on a Mac?

    What, no Carl Zeiss lens? Why would you by a Sony if it does not have a Zeiss lens?
